University Bridging Program / Academic English Course

Our University Bridging Course is specifically designed for students who are preparing to attend university in Canada.

Whether you are finishing school in Canada, have recently immigrated to Canada or are returning to university after many years, this course is for you!

We teach you the best ways to optimize your time researching, what information to note and why, which language to use when writing an essay or giving a presentation, how to appropriately reference and to avoid plagiarism as well as tips on presenting.

Finally, we offer two optional assessments (one written, one oral) to test the skills you have learned throughout the course, accompanied by detailed feedback.

Week 3: Academic Language (markers, transitions, examples)
Week 4: Essay Structure and Writing
Week 5: Referencing and Avoiding Plagiarism
Week 6: Presentation Skills
